Sturzenegger: “Un error de Macri fue que fortaleció a la casta”
Federico Sturzenegger, ex presidente del Banco Central durante el mandato de Mauricio Macri y figura destacada en el gobierno de Javier Milei, fue la figura más esperada en el Foro Panamericano “Argentina en Transición” en la Universidad de Miami. Sin ocupar un cargo oficial, Sturzenegger defendió la desregulación impulsada por Milei para desmantelar lo que él llama la “República Corporativa” en Argentina.
Sturzenegger explicó la estrategia de desregulación de Milei al señalar que, a pesar de la aparente inestabilidad en Argentina, la estructura organizativa del país se mantiene estable a lo largo del tiempo. Comparó fotografías de sindicalistas y empresarios de hace 30 años con las actuales, destacando la continuidad de las mismas personas en posiciones clave.
“Si hoy les sacáramos una foto a todos los sindicalistas argentinos y la comparásemos con una foto de los de hace 30 años, veríamos que son las mismas personas. Y si después hacemos una con los empresarios argentinos más importantes y la vemos junto una foto de los de hace 30 años, encontraríamos que son las mismas personas” expresó durante su discurso el exfuncionario.
El ideario del DNU y la Ley Ómnibus identificó a la “casta” mencionada por Milei como la “República Corporativa”, una élite que se beneficia de la apropiación de rentas de la población. Describió esta estructura como un “robo institucionalizado” y argumentó que el programa de desregulación de Milei busca desarmar los recursos que financian este sistema, eliminando privilegios y monopolios.
El exfuncionario enfatizó la importancia de una estrategia política y coraje para llevar a cabo reformas significativas. Al respecto mencionó: “Hay un presidente con mucho apoyo, pero sin grandes grandes números en el Parlamento. Eso obliga al ejercicio de la democracia, a consensuar. Se dan discusiones que nunca se habían dado: cayó un muro de silencio sobre un montón de temas que nadie se animaba a tocar”.
Sturzenegger concluyó expresando que, a pesar de los 50 días de gobierno de Milei, la democracia argentina está floreciendo. Destacó la necesidad de consenso y discusión en el proceso democrático. También señaló que la lucha contra el Estado corporativo es un proceso con altibajos, pero con un norte claro y perseverancia, se puede lograr un cambio duradero. Para el ex presidente del Banco Central al gobierno de Mauricio Macri le faltó una estrategia efectiva: “Yo creo que un error del gobierno de Macri fue pensar que podía comprar a todos estos grupos. Entonces les dio recursos a los gobernadores, a los piqueteros, a los sindicalistas, etcétera. Pero darle recursos al statu quo simplemente lo fortalece”.
